I would like to add that the ol’ “thumb in the eye of a mounted opponent” is a very effective technique for opening up arms and securing the gift wrap, etc. (especially if said opponent is staying tight and defending his face reasonably well from strikes.) It will provoke a reaction, trust me.
As some Trav. Very sensible. Not to mention if you miss the eye and catch the tip of a finger on a hard head you could really hurt your hand. And for me if can’t make a fist it is not good.
